The Other Two - Selfish

The Other Two's "Selfish" is my favorite dance music.

The Other Two is composed of husband-wife tandem of Stephen Morris (programming, percussions) and Gillian Gilbert (keyboard, guitars), the other two members of Manchester supergroup New Order. The name was derived from the fact that the two (Morris and Gilbert) are the lesser attention-seeking members of the band, with Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook, both releasing their solo albums.I heard "Selfish" first in 1994 and had fond memories of a neighbor's cousin. The song is taken from their 1994 album The Other Two & You. In 1999 they released "Superhighways" album. While the song "Tasty Fish" is more popular (and I also like), "Selfish" is more appealing to me.

While there are a few versions of the songs, such as remixes by Moby and Farley And Heller, I prefer the original version.

Selfish

Someone I hate,
she think she's great unless you state the obvious.
You're next to me, entirely let's wait and see

Someone like you, selfish it's true
All you can do it's play to see entirely you disagree

No sense of reason, you think it's true
Why did you have to believe them?
No sense of reason,
What do I have to do?
There's no one else
You're deceiving

Sometimes it's true, forgiving you,
It's hard to do it's crystal clear,
(and it is) and not something
I can feel sure of

No sense of reason, you think it's true
Why did you have to believe them?
No sense of reason,
What do I have to do?
There's no one else
